Aurora: About Me

On a personal level, my background has always been creative:
I’ve danced, choreographed, sung, acted and played the piano.

I am a qualified tap and modern dancing teacher, running a successful dance studio, which I have done for many years - that's why I feel that very often music and rhythm come through in my paintings.

Exhibitions

I had my first solo exhibition in Nov 2003, represented by Philip Jacobson and Terence Sack of Philip Jacobson Fine Art, in Johannesburg, proving to be a great career launch.

My second solo exhibition, in March-April 2009, was held at David Brown Fine Art Gallery in Rosebank.

Who’s my Art for?

My art is very spunky; captivating and unconventional. Therefore, it appeals to a variety of people. From corporate to residential, depending on the size. Each painting is an original!!

The commission to do the Splice Condominium Apartment Block in Killarney, Johannesburg was amazing! The 15 piece ‘floating’ banner, from the top of the coffee shop to the 6th floor, was a most awesome project! I had to design the banner, and it was incredibly fulfilling seeing my creation being transformed into reality!
